Is it quintessential evidence of modern men having lost or forsaken their individuality that...?
...modern, mainstream necktie designs for the past 10 years have been heavily regimented and robotic? (stripes, dots, geometics, solids, etc.)
Hell, even most of the Italian designers, except Pancaldi it seems, are now producing the same garbage that's sold in department stores where the worker bees shop; and sadly Stacy Adams seems the only one still doing Art Deco. I don't even think anyone sells that trendy "Jerry Garcia" crap anymore from 20 years ago, which is both a relief and a shame.
I didn't even notice this until I had to start buying ties and I'm disgusted at the trash I'm forced to consider. I bet most men have so subconsciously acquiesced to this fascist capitalism we now live in that they don't ever notice.
The nice thing about plain ties is that you can stain them, get mustard or ketchup on them, etc. amd "VOILA" - you have your very own custom Jerry Garcia tie!
